A new Montessori preschool

With the vision of nurturing a generation of children who love learning, empowering them to reach their potential and planting the seeds of lifelong growth, Casa Vista Montessori, a brand new Montessori preschool is opened at Worli.

About Montessori

The Montessori Method of education, developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. Dr. Montessori's Method has been time tested, with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures throughout the world.

A primary goal of Montessori philosophy is “Help me to do it myself”. In a Montessori school, children are encouraged to learn by doing and to incorporate a sense of learning into their everyday life.
Montessori- inspired activities are designed to take care of the child’s developmental stages. The Montessori material has a built-in control of error, which enables the child to rectify his own work. Most importantly, they are geared towards a young child’s developmental interests.

Why parents today prefer Montessori schools over traditional

Concepts taught through textbooks or rote learning

About Us

Casa Vista Montessori is run by Ms. Aksheeta Selarka Parikh, a Montessori trained directress who has successfully completed her AMI diploma from RTI in the year 2005. Aksheeta has gained 12 enriching years of teaching experience from several schools and in varied curriculum's such as ICSE, CIPP, IB and Montessori. After having worked with several programs and with children of different age groups, Ms. Aksheeta is of the belief that Montessori education is one of the most effective ones. It is self-directed, hands-on learning with collaborative work where children discover and explore knowledge of the world to develop their natural potentials.

At Casa Vista Montessori
A Montessori curriculum is an integrated one with an inclusion of Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Exercises of Practical life activities. Each one of these works in unison for the preparation of the other. We, at Casa Vista Montessori, offer a prepared environment where your child will find all the means, efficient tools to work with, at his/her developmental stage.

Exercises of Practical Life-Here the child performs activities of our daily life such as; brushing of teeth, tying shoe laces, washing hands, chopping, cutting and taking care of the environment.

The purpose of the Exercises of Practical Life is three fold:

  1. To aid the child’s adaptation to his culture.
  2. To help him/her become independent
  3. To develop coordination of movements so that the body and mind work in harmony.

Sensorial- As we all know that senses are components of our nervous system. We take in all the impressions of the world through our senses. Therefore, we at Casa Vista Montessori offer the child well curated activities which cater to their visual, acoustic, tactile, olfactory and gustatory senses. Montessori activities are designed to appeal to every sense organ of the child which moves the child gradually from concrete experiences to abstract understanding.

Mathematics- The mathematical activities offered at our school will develop the following:

  • The possibility of thinking logically
  • Handle concrete objects with the possibility to form abstract notions
  • Tendency to calculate and develop problem solving skills
  • Apply math to real life scenarios.

Language-Language at our school begins right from the time when your child enters our environment. We step forward to help the child continue developing his spoken language based on his/her prior experiences. We provide children with rich and real experiences to strengthen his/her communication skills. Stories, poems, books and other activities enhance the development of written and spoken language. All of the above mentioned areas hugely compliment and foster language development.

Culture- Montessori culture activities include geography, history, general science, botany and zoology, music, and art. We emphasise on building on our Indian culture through the activities offered in our environment.

Our diversified program includes other activities such as Art, Music, Gardening, Cooking and Dance and fitness programs.

We begin enrolling children from 1.5 years and our Montessori program continues till 5 years of age.
